2010 SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES & APPLICATION
SCHOLARSHIPS OVERVIEW
Wisconsin State Horse Council is proud to offer annual scholarship opportunities to members of WSHC.
The deadline for receipt of Scholarship applications is April 1st of each year. The Scholarships are awarded at the Midwest Horse Fair and recipients are expected to attend the presentation ceremony.
Available Scholarships: (three of each amount awarded each year, provided qualified applicants apply)

$1,000 Scholarship

$500 Scholarship
Eligible Applicants :
-
Applicants planning to, or currently majoring in, any equine profession—college or other training equivalent to at least:
Four years in length or
Two school years in length -
Applicants may also include:
High School Seniors
High School graduates currently enrolled in a post High program including Associate degree, bachelors of Arts,Bachelor of Science, MS, Ph.D. -
Applicants must have been a full time Wisconsin resident for the past five years and be a current member of the WSHC as either:
Individual member or youth member, or
member of a WSHC Group member (saddle club, etc.), or
member of a WSHC Association member (AQHA, etc.) - Those who have not been awarded a WSHC scholarship more than twice.
Applicants should review the scholarship guidelines (included in the application packet) carefully to ensure they have included all necessary information. Please contact the Program Coordinator with any questions on eligibility or requirements.
